Ivan Reis is a Brazilian artist who works for the big American comic book companies. He started out working for the Brazilian market at age 14. He contributed to the review Histórias Reais de Drácula of Bloch Editores and several cartoons for Editora Fênix. He worked for an advertising agency and joined the Estúdios Mauricio de Sousa. He has worked for the American market since the mid-1990s. For Dark Horse, he illustrated issues of 'Máscara', 'Time Cop', 'The Mask' and 'Xena'. He did illustration work for Light Comics and drew 'The Invisibles' for DC/Vertigo. His best known work is 'Lady Death' for Chaos Comics. He was also present at Marvel with the miniseries 'Supernaturals', which was followed by 'Iron Man', 'The Order', 'Defenders', 'The Avengers', 'She-Hulk' and 'Thing'.
