'Waputa', 1954.
Herbert Reschke was born in 1914 in Berlin. He lived in the eastern part of the city, occupied by Russia after World War II. Reschke became a comic artist, contributing to magazines such as Wochenpost, Frösi and Das Magazin. Some of his titles are 'Waputa die Geierkralle' (1954), 'Ali Ben Populi' (1955) and 'Hodscha Nasreddin'. All of his comics were Communist propaganda, but nonetheless easily readable and entertaining.
