Cliff Roberts was the creator of Jim Henson's 'Sesame Street' comic strip of the early 1970s. He also did a syndicated strip called 'Occupant'. He was a writer, director and animator for many television cartoons shows, such as Hanna-Barbera's 'Scooby-Doo', 'The Smurfs' and DePatie-Freleng's 'Pink Panther'. He spent most of his early career as a commercial artist in the 1960s. He was also a talented photographer as well as a frequent contributor of cartoons to The New Yorker and Hugh Hefner's Playboy.
