Larry Rodman is the creator of 'Thringst', a webcomic that appeared in the late 1990s. He is an occasional illustrator and cartoonist, working on commissions and personal projects for publication. His main involvement with comics has been as a writer for The Comics Journal (since 1989), and for other books by Fantagraphics. He is a founding member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Comic Art, due to his coverage of Georgetown Universities International Comic Art Festival. He is also a cartooning and studio art teacher, and exhibiting artist, in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.
