Roldo was part of the Winnipeg new wave comix group Free Kluck, together with Jack D. Zastre, Basil Hatte, Frank McTruck, Bobby Stahr and Dudley 'The Mushroom' Clearsky. In the early 1980s, he created self-published mini-comix like 'Wired Tales' and 'Snapshots', which was a collection of his editorial cartoons. Roldo's work has also appeared in the collective's group publications like 'Snafu', 'Drunk Comix' and '40 Degrees Below Funnies'. In the mid-1980s, Roldo worked with writer Kerry Thornley on an illustrated version of Thornley's 'Book of the Demons of the Region of Thud' (aka 'Goetia Discordia'). Both he and Bobby Stahr are also musicians.
