Dan Rosandich was a cartoonist and comic artist based in Michigan. He ran his own online cartoon library, and illustrated several installments in the 'Chicken Soup for the Soul' book series.

Magazine and newspaper work
Born in 1957 in Detroit, Dan Rosandich graduated from Ontonagon Area High School in 1976. In that same year, he sold his first single panel gag cartoon to the magazine Mechanix Illustrated. Since then, he contributed cartoons and comic strips to Reader's Digest, Saturday Evening Post, Woman's World, Good Housekeeping, Better Homes & Gardens, The National Enquirer, Barron's magazine, The National Review, The Cleveland Plain Dealer Sunday Magazine and dozens of other national and regional magazines, newsletters and trade journals. Among the specialized magazines that ran Rosandich cartoons were American Medical News, Medical Economics, Intermountain Contractor magazine, Building Briefs magazine, Constructioneer and Kansas Lawyer.

His cartoon 'Mum's the Word' appeared in the short-lived anthology series 'Tomorrow's Comics' (1991-1992), which was distributed on college campuses by Argonaut Entertainment. His 'Yooper Bloopers' was a 1990s self-syndicated panel aimed at publications in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, including The Daily Globe.

Books
Besides the press, Dan Rosandich's cartoons also appeared in books, including the 'Chicken Soup for the Soul' series of inspirational and motivational self-help books by the media company of the same name from Cos Cob, Connecticut. From 1999 on, Rosandich's art was featured in the volumes 'Divorce and Recovery', 'The Pet Lover's Soul', 'The Christian Soul', 'The Mother's Soul', 'The Bride's Soul' and 'The Gardener's Soul'. Another regular cartoonist for the series is Johnny Hawkins. Rosandich also illustrated books and stories for authors and writers from around the world.

Cartoon library and custom cartoons
In later years, Dan Rosandich built a large database of over 5,000 cartoons and comic strips at danscartoons.com, which were available for licensing for presentations, newsletters, advertisements, calendars, posters and books. He also offered web designers a daily auto-updating web cartoon for usage on personal and company websites, and also continued to make custom cartoons for his clients. These included the strips 'Grain Wranglers' for a grain magazine and 'Al & The Dating Game' for a Human Resource director's web site. An ebook collection of his personal favorites appeared under the title 'Funny Cartoons For The Entire Family' (2012). Rosandich also ran a cartoon blog, where he blogged about the business of creating and selling cartoons.

Death
A resident of Houghton, Michigan, Dan Rosandich died of a heart attack in January 2023. He was 65 years old.
