Juan Sáenz Valiente was born in Buenos Aires. He cooperated with the writer Carlos Trillo on the album 'Sarna', published by Iron Eggs Ediciones. The graphic novel was also published in France by Albin Michel, under the title 'Mémoires d'une Vermine'.
