Alf Saporito was an artist for the comics of the publishing house Fleetway from 1967 until at least the early 1980s. Among his early work was the 'Nosey' halfpager in Tiger, and he then became the cover artist of Cor!! with 'Gus Gorilla'. His other Fleetway work included features for Giggle ('Giggle'), Knockout ('Moose'), Shiver & Shake (a strip starring comedian Charlie Williams), TV Tornado ('Jester Moment'), Valiant ('Master Spy'), Whizzer and Chips ('Ding Dong Spell'), Whoopee! ('Hee Gee and his Nag'), Jinty ('Do-It-Yourself Dot') and Krazy Comic ('Micky Mimic').

He took over the shark comic 'Gums' from Bob Nixon in Monster Fun Comics and Buster until the early 1980s. Saporito also drew stories with the Hanna-Barbera characters 'Wally Gator' and 'Magilla Gorilla' for Fun Time and Yogi And His Toy in 1972. His work has also appeared in Mad Magazine in Britain.
