My Friend Irma by Jack Seidel

Little is known about Jack Seidel, the comic artist who wrote and drew a comic strip based on the radio situation comedy 'My Friend Irma', that was broadcasted from 1947 to 1954. He was born in 1917 and worked as a freelance cartoonist, who was trained by Merrill Blosser, Ed Dodd and Jimmy Hatlo. Seidel's 'Irma' strip made its debut on 11 September 1950, and was syndicated through Los Angeles Mirror Syndicate. In May 1952, the comic was continued by Dan De Carlo and Stan Lee, who eventually moved it to a comic book in Lee's Atlas line.
