Eratos by Ben Seys
'Eratos' (P@per #16, 2011).

Ben Seys is a Belgian graphic designer and illustrator. He studied animation at the RITS School of Art in Brussels, and has worked on several TV and film productions since. In his spare time, he makes illustrations for newspapers and educational books. He is also the creator of comic strips like 'Wieger', 'Dino, the Saurus', 'Eratos' (with Sascha van Laeken) and 'Eddy & Caddy', the latter being his monthly comic for Play Golf.

In 2010, Seys made a graphic contribution to the series 'Cinema Rapido' in Humo, where well-known Dutch and Flemish comic artists were asked to adapt a famous film into a one-page comic strip. Seys' father was hospitalized at the time, so he drew a comic strip version of the film 'I Am Legend' and wrote to Humo to print it, so he could surprise his ailing dad. His request was fulfilled.

In 2011, he paid graphic homage to Pom in the collective tribute album 'Op Het Spoor van Pom' ('t Mannekesblad, 2011). He also contributed to the collective comic book 'De Pierkes' (Stripbeurs Gent, 2013), starring the Ghent folkloric character Pierke Pierlala.
