In June 1958, Shen Pei started his long comic strip for children 'Xiaohuzi'. Little Tiger, the hero of the strip, was a cartoon figure known by every young reader in China. In order to make his strip better, Shen Pei visited many schools and talked with teachers. After Shen Pei left for Hong Kong, 'Xiaohuzi' was continued by other artists. Shen has since published cartoons with the Hong Kong Business News under the pen name "Wei Chi Heng".
