Mickey Mouse by Fred Spencer

Fred Spencer was an American animator with the Walt Disney Studios. He joined the studios in 1931, and became its authority on 'Donald Duck'. He developed the standard for writing, drawing and animating the character, and made the model sheets of his modern look. He was an animator on seven short films, as well as the feature film 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' (1937).

Spencer was also assigned by Disney to draw a monthly 'Mickey Mouse' feature for the International DeMolay Cordon. This was the newsletter of the Masonic youth group DeMolay of which both Disney and Spencer were alumni. The 'Mickey Mouse Chapter' was published from December 1932 until May 1933. Fred Spencer died in a car accident in 1938.
