Tom Stiglich was born and raised in Philadelphia. He made his debut in the Philadelphia Daily, while he was still in high school. He studied at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, graduating in 1988. He became an illustrator, art director, comic artist and graphic designer at a weekly newspaper in Philadelphia. His work, among others his editorial cartoons and the strip 'Uncle Joe', has been published in magazines like Newsweek, Funny Stuff and Comic Relief, and in a number of New Jersey newspapers.
