Iginio Straffi is a successful designer, director and producer of animation series, and the founder of the Rainbow studios. He is the creator of the popular 'Winx Club' series, which is broadcast worldwide. Among his other hit series are 'Tommy & Oscar' (created as an interactive CD-Rom and then as a TV series), 'Prezzy' (a TV series inspired by the Gardaland theme park mascot) and 'Monster Allergy' (based on the Disney comic books).
Straffi began his career working for comic studios and publising houses. During his university years, he made comics for the prestigious review Comic Art. At the age of 19, he was hired by Bonelli Editore in Milan, where he has worked on the 'Nick Raider' comic book series. At age 27, he moved to France and worked as a storyboard artist. Rainbow S.R.L. was founded in March 1995.
