Laurent Theureau studied at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels. He began his comics career in Métal Hurlant in 1985. His first album, 'Ciao Jessica', appeared at Les Humanoïdes Associés (text by Patrick Galliano). In 1991, he cooperated with Jean-Pierre Dionnet on 'L'Ange de Miséricorde' in À Suivre, a story collected in album by Casterman in 1993. At the same publishing house, he created the comic 'La Turquoise Maléfique.
