Toshy was born in Belgium, but lives and works in Lille, France. He followed courses by Philippe Foerster, Gérard Goffaux and Antonio Cossu. He co-founded the Hécatombe artists collective, and self-published several works. Toshy then drew several albums at Emmanuel Proust Éditions. He drew 'Groupe Tel-Aviv' with text by Maud Tabachnik in 1999 and adapted Serge Brussolo's 'Le Chien de Minuit' into a comic two years later. In 2004, he began the SF series 'La Metaphore du Papillon' with scripts by Christophe Pernoud at Bamboo publishers.
