After getting her art degree, Ilaria Trondoli joined the professional comics school in Milan, where she graduated in 2001. To learn the French language, she went to work as an au pair for a year. During a comic festival in Antibes she met publisher Pierre Paquet. The first album of her series 'A l'Ombre de la Croix' appeared in 2003.
