Don Clerque by F. Tur

Lithographer and graphic artist Fransesco Tur Mahen (F. Tur) devoted himself to creating cartoons in the 1940s. He drew for the children's press, and eventually became a regular with TBO magazine. In his work for this magazine, he proved to be a fine humorous artist, with a great sense for detail. He illustrated several silly inventions by Professor Franz for the section 'Los Grandes Inventos de TBO'. He also drew the comic 'Don Cleque én el crico' for Junior Films in 1946.

Tur has also participated on animation projects during the 1940s and 1950s. He worked as a director for studios like Dibsono Films (1940) and Dibujos Animados Chamartín (1942) and worked with Escobar in the art department of the feature film 'Érase una vez' in 1950.
