Manga artist Hajime Ueda began his career in the fan art scene (doujinshi). Later on, he made a manga adaptation of the animated cult series 'FLCL', produced by Studio Gainax. He also made the original manga 'Q-Ko-Chan: The Earth Invader Girl'. He also works as a costume designer and sculptor.
