Miwa Ueda was born in Hyogo, Japan. She worked with Naoko Takeuchi for some time and began publishing her work in 1985. She is the author of 'Peach Girl'. She partially based Momo, the main character on herself. Other serials by Ueda are 'Angel Wars', 'Oh My Darling' and 'Glass Hearts'.
