Asisko Urmeneta is a cartoonist and and graffiti artist born in Pamplona, Spain. He has made book illustrations, drawings for the press and contributions to TV and radio. He founded and edited the comic magazine Napartheid between 1988 and 1994 and then became a contributor to papers like Argia.
His work has been collected in books like 'Hegoekialdeko Urruneko Legenda', 'Erraondo', 'I'm Pellot', 'Okatxu' and 'Biba Festa'. He also gives lectures and he has written two books: 'Nora hoa, Xirimola?' (2002) and 'Sugea lilipean' (2003). He is the son of former mayor Miguel Javier Urmeneta and the brother of designer Mikel Urmeneta, with whom he started the T-shirt firm Kukusumuxu. He was also behind the TV show 'Mihiluze' and the animated film 'Gartxot'.
