Rock & Stone
Yann Valéani left school at age 16 to spent all his time on drawing. Wanting to become a comic artists, he moved to Paris, where he had several jobs while presenting his work to publishers. He landed in an animation studio in Arlès, and eventually began the Zarmatelier with Bruno Bessadi, Richard Di Martino and Éric Stoffel in Marseille. He revised his earlier science fiction comics project 'Derm', and had it published by Delcourt in 2005. Valéani has participated in the collective comic book 'Les nouvelles aventures de Dupa Grave et de la petite chatte Mimine' by Editions de la Débrouille in 2010. He returned to science fiction for the diptych 'Rock & Stone' in cooperation with Jean Nicolas, of which the first installment was published by Delcourt in 2014.
