After several art studies and some stints in the advertising and illustration field, Régis Van Winsen turned to creating comics. He started out as a member of a collective published under the name BD Clip. With Jean-Luc Bellin as his scriptwriter, he took on the series 'Les Portes d'Arzhal' (2001- ), at Nucléa publishers.
