Flemish artist Wouter van Ghysegem was born in Aalst, and attended the Sint-Lukas School of Arts in Brussels, where he studied Audiovisual Arts. He divides his time by making miniatures, drawings, comics and animation films. He published his comics on internet portals like Stripster. His surreal and psychedelic comic 'Boswachter John' was published through Ivan Bulté's Barcat label in 2011.
He also contributed to the collective comic book 'De Pierkes' (Stripbeurs Gent, 2013), starring the Ghent folkloric character Pierke Pierlala
