H.A.N.D., by Emmanuel Vegliona
'H.A.N.D.'

Emmanuel Vegliona was born in Quebec, but moved back to Italy with his Italian family at the age of three. He studied fine arts in Carrara. His first assignment was given to him by the city council of Carrara. At their commission, he made a book on the marble, a stone for which his region is famous. When further assignments didn't come, he moved to Paris in 1990. After several unfinished projects, he was noticed by Philippe Vandooren, editorial director of Dupuis. He teamed up with scriptwriter Pierre Pelot and began the science fiction cycle 'H.A.N.D.' in Dupuis' Repérages collection in 2002.
