Ron Verbrugge is a Dutch commercial artist, affiliated with Hans Buying's Comic House agency. He attended the Rietveld Art School in Amsterdam, and made his debut in the 1980s with illustrations for a Rabobank advertising campaign. He has since done artwork for such clients as Coca Cola, Puik Animal Foods, Jaarbeurs Utrecht, Intertoys, Sony, Dekamarkt, Ikea, ABN-AMRO, Bolletje, the Dutch Railways and M&M's. His best-known creations are the elephant 'Toy Toy' for the Intertoys chain, and the mascot for the Railrunner children's tickets of the Dutch Railways.

Verbrugge has made promotional comics like 'Bibi's Vertellingen' for the Dutch savings bank NMS (three books between 1984-1987) and 'Bart en Bob' for Croky chips (two books in 1984-1985). Verbrugge makes comics for Computer Magazine Hoog Spel and 'Billie Bus' for PCM Publishers. He has additionally made panoramic pictures for the publishing house Wolters Noordhoff and posters for Marcel Boon Cabaret.
