Wie Vater und Sohn einen Esel kauften
Egon von Tresckow was a German animator, illustrator, comic artist and caricaturist. Born in Montigny-lès-Metz in the North of Frace, Von Tesckow began his career as a press artist in Berlin in 1927. He became an animator/artist for the UFA in 1930, but left the company in 1943 to work on the animation films by Hans Fischerkoesen. Von Tesckow left Berlin in 1945 and settled in Kassel, where he began an association with the Hessischen Nachrichten. He made political caricatures, portraits and his well-known 'Märchen-Buch-Filme', a series of picture stories based on fairytales. These comic strips, which he signed Tres, soon appeared in about 15 other newspapers and were later also collected in book format. Tres made about 9 fairytale stories, including 'Fischer und seiner Frau', 'Kalif Storch', 'Hans im Glück' and 'Bremer Stadtmusikanten', until a treacherous disease took his life when he was only 45 years of age.
