'One Way Ticket'.

Daniel Warner is the creator of the 'Cocopiazo' comic book series published by SLG Publishing. He graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art where he studied illustration, painting, and new media. Immediately upon graduation he was hired by The Outsiders Group to illustrate 'The Last Great War' trading card game and the graphic novel 'There Are Aliens Among Us' Vol.2. Unfortunately the company was dissolved and all the assets liquidated before the book saw print.

'A Bright Sunny Day'.

For six months Warner worked as a bouncer at a bar in Harvard Square and circulated his portfolio until he was hired by the Foreign Language Department at MIT to design a logo and graphics for the Cultura cultural interface project. Eventually he landed a job as the in-house illustrator and designer for the women's fashion boutique Leila. There he created a huge volume of postcards, posters, flyers and other promotional material that saturated the clubs and bars of Boston.

High exposure combined with Warner's exuberant, free-flowing style got him work as a professional illustrator, designer, art director and creative strategist for a host of corporate, private, and non-profit clients. In 2001 he received a Xeric Foundation Grant and published 'Super Deluxe Cocopiazo: A Bright Sunny Day', which was named one of the ten best indy books for 2001 by Wizard magazine.

Warner's work has appeared in a variety of anthology publications including EXPO. the companion book to the Small Press Expo in Bethesda Maryland and the French anthology Stereoscomic. In 2004 Warner set up Dw/Desert Island Comics, Inc. a studio dedicated to creating original content in comics.
