After getting his start in the comic industry in 1992 doing his own mini-comics, Andi Watson made his professional debut in 1993 with the four-issue mini-series 'Samurai Jam', published by Slave Labor Graphics/Amaze Ink. A year later, Watson created 'Skeleton Key'. His monthly 'Skeleton Key' work was followed with the mini-series 'Geisha', one of his best-received works to date.

In the same year, Watson also started writing the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' series for Dark Horse Comics, based on the TV series of the same name. In 1999, Watson returned to 'Skeleton Key' with a four-issue mini-series, and he also released a trade-paperback reprinting the four-issue 'Geisha' series. In 2001, Andi Watson started the six-issue series 'Slow News Day', published by Slave Labor Graphics. Watson also made the 200-page graphic novel 'Breakfast After Noon', and the serial 'Love Fights'.
