Jan van Wensveen was born in Jutphaas. In comics, he is best known for his series 'Baron Bluff', which was published in the papers of the Rotterdammer Kwartet in 1960-61. The comic also appeared in the magazine Taptoe in the 1970s. Van Wensveen's 'Avontuur In Midden Afrika', a story published in a Christian church magazine, had the goal of attracting new missionaries, and has also been published in album form twice. He later focused on fine art. He has his atellier in Haarlem.
