'Le Manoir Hanté' (Grand Coeur #50, 1946).

Wett was an artist working for the short-lived Belgian comic weekly Grand Coeur, drawing the serial 'Le Manoir Hanté' (1946-1947).

Grand Coeur
Nothing is known about the identity of the cartoonist behind the signature Wett. From issue #48 of 1946 through issue #9 of 1947, Grand Coeur magazine ran his serial 'Le Manoir Hanté' ("The Haunted Mansion"), about a baron whose castle is haunted by ghosts. However, the story remained unfinished due to the disappearance of Grand Coeur. In its early Clear Line influences, Wett's comic resembles other adventure comics of the time, such as Marc Ratal's 'Puck Reporter' and Jijé's 'Trinet et Trinette dans l'Himalaya'.

No further activities of Wett are known. A large part of the material in Grand Coeur was provided by magazine editor Charles Gilbert and students from his graphic arts atelier in Liège. These can be recognized by the signatures that are associated with this studio, such as Chargil, Imagil, At-Gil, CAAG and Mac K.B. Since his body of work was limited to only this magazine, it is well possible that Wett was also a student or member of Charles Gilbert's Atelier des Arts Graphiques.
