Christian Zomer grew up in Hardenberg and initially pursued environmental and technical studies before choosing an artistic career. From a young age, he had already drawn cartoons for the children's magazine of the Christian political party GPV. Shortly afterwards, his artwork also appeared in Christian magazines like Kivive. He teamed up with writer Adrian Verbree after moving to Gramsbergen. Together with Verbree, he has created several children's books, including series like 'Spraakmakende Spreuken' and 'Jibbe' with publisher De Vuurbaak in Barneveld. They have also made a weekly comic strip called 'Jibbe' for Nederlands Dagblad.
Zomer is additionally the creator of 'De Familie Steens' and political cartoons for the magazines Aan De Hand and CV-Koers, and of Christian cartoons for Remix and other educational publications. He has drawn for organizations and projects like the political party ChristenUnie, the party magazine HandSchrift and a series of Bible study booklets.
