After finishing high school and military service, Flemming Andersen tried to become an illustrator for Danish advertising agencies and newspapers. The Danish Disney publisher Gutenberghus/Egmont was not interested in his illustrations, but they did ask him to draw Disney characters. Flemming has done this ever since. At first he wrote stories for Egmont's Disney publications, but since 1992, he started drawing them himself. He has created Disney comics in the best Italian Disney style for Jumbo books. Since 2016 he also draws an occasional story for Sanoma's Donald Duck weekly in The Netherlands.
