Les Amazones by Ludo Borecki
'Les Amazones'.

Ludo Borecki was fifteen years old when he took courses in comic art at the École des Métiers d'Art in Hainaut. He also studied at the École Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc in Liège between 1991 and 1994. Among his first publications were a contribution to the collective album 'Barracuda' and the script for the comic 'Pirates et Gentlemen' with art by Sabri Kasbi. After his studies, he found employment with Studio Peyo. He was part of the art staff on Schtroumpf Magazine and produced the background art on the 'Johan et Pirlouit' story 'La Rose des Sables'.

Besides several gags and short stories starring the Smurfs, he has drawn several albums for the series since 2002. With his studio colleague Miguel Díaz Vizoso he was also responsible for the revival of the 'Robin Dubois' gags under the supervision of the original authors Turk and De Groot in 2007 and 2008. In a more realistic drawing style, he created 'Les Amazones' with Clarke for Glénat in 2012. He works with Benoît Ers on the artwork of Zidrou's thriller series 'Tueurs de Mamans' for Dupuis since 2013.
