'Captain Awareness'.
Danny DeAngelo was born in Boston and later moved to Florida. He studied art at Stetson university, where he created the comic 'Captain Stetson', which later evolved into 'Captain Awareness', a superhero created to promote awareness of issues of concern to school campuses (such as assault, drug and alcohol abuse, and gun violence). Danny DeAngelo created similar projects with 'Captain Geo and Gia', to promote environmental awareness, and an updated version of 'Captain Awareness', called 'Major Impact'.
Danny DeAngelo has cooperated on his projects with artists such as Brent Anderson, Colleen Doran, Trina Robbins, Jimmy Palmiotti, George Perez, Norm Breyfogle and Dick Giordano.
