Phil Traere by Désert

Désert is a French cartoonist and biker. His comic 'Phil Traère' ran on a weekly basis in the biker's magazine Moto Legend. Four books were published by Marsu Productions between 1999 and 2005. Désert was furthermore the artist of two comical books about Parisians, called 'Les Parisiens', that were written by Fab and published by Jungle! in 2006 and 2007.

A self-taught artist, Désert learned the finer points of the profession by reading comics by classic grandmasters like Hergé, Morris, Franquin and Uderzo. But just like the other biker comic, 'Joe Bar Team' by Bar2 and Fane, Désert's main graphical reference is Franquin.
