Massimo Dotta was born in Turin, where he attended the artistic grammar school and the Academy of Fine Arts. He drew one story with 'Zio Paperone' ('Uncle Scrooge') for Mondadori in 1977. He continued to do Disney comics for Topolino in 1981. He is also an illustrator for the publishing houses Garzanti, Panini and Edizioni San Paolo.
