Ola Ericson was the illustrator for the covers of the Swedish editions of the children's book series 'Three investigators', 'Biggles' and 'The Hardy Boys', and for Ian Fleming's 'Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang'. Other artists who adapted 'Biggles' into comic strips have been Pim van Boxsel, Albert De Vine, Rob Embleton, Gote Goransson, Guicha, Roger Melliès, Maurice Rondepierre, Alfred SindallWilly Vandersteen and Mike Western, He also made the artwork for Sivar Ahlrud's 'Tvillingdetektiverna', and the comics based on this Swedish children's book series. During the 1970s and 1980s, Ericson drew new stories with the young detectives under the title 'Tvillingdeckarna' for comic books published by Williams and Semic, as well as a newspaper strip. He made the horse's comic series 'Broknäsflickorna' ('The Girls from Broknäs') from scripts by his daughter Ylva Ericson for the girls' magazine Min Häst between 1974 and 1985.
