Ulysse by Philippe Fenech

Philippe Fenech is the artist of several children's and humor comics published by Soleil, Vents d'Ouest and Bamboo. Born in Montpellier, he studied between 1994 and 2000 and subsequently made the gag strip 'Requin Barjot' for his local newspaper. Between 2000 and 2002, he devided his time between working as a professor in drawing and cinema, and as a freelance artist for Hachette. He was responsible for several game pages that were published in the Disney publications published by Hachette. He also made the gag series 'Après la classe' for these magazines, in cooperation with writer Dobbs.

Tuff et Koala, by Philippe Fenech

By 2003 he stopped working as a teacher and focused on creating children's comics for Soleil Productions. During his illustration work, he had created the character 'Koala' in 1999. This character was featured in his first comic series for Soleil, 'Tuff et Koala', of which he made three books with Curd Ridel between 2004 and 2006. He additionally created the short-lived humor series 'Anatole Deparadis' with writer Nicolas Mitric in 2004, and the sci-fi adventure 'L'Empire des Mecchas' with Téhy in 2007. He then made a new series called 'Léo Passion Rugby' with Loïc Nicoloff between 2007 and 2009.

Bazardoz, by Philippe Fenech

He was also present in Lanfeust Mag between 2004 and 2010 with gags and the series 'Bazardoz' (scripts by Pierre Grimbert). Fenech then joined forces with the writers Mady and Ludovic Danjou and created 'Un héros presque parfait' and 'Ulysse!' for Vents d'Ouest between 2010 and 2013. 'Mes Cop's', the teenage humor comic he makes with Christophe Cazenove, is published by Bamboo since 2013.
