Dominique Gelli studied at fine arts for six years on 4 different schools. He teamed up with writer Didier Tronchet in 1989, and started the adventure parody 'Raoul Fulgurex' at Glénat. After three episodes, Tronchet and Gelli started a new series, 'Patacrèpe et Couillalère', in 1998. In 2001, he began 'Hubert la Cervelle' with writer Eric Omond at Delcourt.
