Dominique Goblet studied illustration at Sint-Gillis in the late 1980s, where she met the members of the Frigo group. With this collective, she made her first book, 'Portraits Crachés', in 1997. Goblet writes intimate stories in a unique, personal style, and makes photographs and illustrations. After quitting the Frigo group, she associated herself with another collective, l'Association, and made some autobiographical work. Goblet's stories have appeared in the Frigo publications Frigorevue and Frigobox, and also in the Comix 2000 anthology. Her next books were 'Souvenir d'une journée parfaite' (2001) and the autobiographical 'Faire semblant c'est mentir' (2007), about the troubled relationship with her father. Her book 'Chronographie' (2010) compiles the portraits Goblet and her daughter Nikita (1990) made of each other in the course of ten years. In 2015, she worked with German artist Kai Pfeiffer on the book 'Plus si entente', as well as the accompanying exposition. She is a teacher in Illustration and Comics at the ERG in Brussels.
