'Babes in Toyland' (1961).

Joseph H. Hale worked as a layout artist at the Walt Disney Studios from 1951 to 1980. There, he worked on features like 'Sleeping Beauty', '101 Dalmatians', 'Winnie the Pooh', 'Robin Hood', 'The Rescuers' and 'The Fox and the Hound'. He was a producer and storyman on 'The Black Cauldron' in 1985 and retired from Disney in 1985. 

Hale was also active as a comic artist. In 1961, he and scriptwriter Frank Reilly produced a newspaper adaptation of the Disney short 'Babes in Toyland'. 

Joseph Hale died in 2025, at age 99.
