'The Upturned Stone'.
Scott Hampton was born in 1959 in High Point, North Carolina. Just like his elder brother Bo, he started a career in comics. Scott's first publication was the six-page 'Godfather Death' (1984) in Epic Illustrated. From then on, he has drawn an impressive number of comics in his distinct watercolor style. Some titles are 'Pigeons From Hell', 'Tapping the Vein', 'Books of Magic', 'Hellraiser' and 'The Upturned Stone'. His graphic style established a new genre in comics, a genre also employed by artists like Bill Sienkiewicz and Dave McKean.
