Amsterdam-based painter Pieter Hermanides was active as a comic artist and cartoonist in the late 1960s and 1970s. His story 'De Draak van Bociti' was published in book format. The artist further contributed cartoons and comics to Avenue, Aloha, Trouw and literary magazines like Delta, Soma and Hollands Maandblad. Nowadays, he is best known for his watercolor paintings and line drawings, that show influences from comic art and the Clear Line in particular.
