'Thnablet El Khorfan'.
Ahmed Hijazy was born in 1936 in Alexandria City. An avid reader and artist during childhood, he attended the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo. Hijazy started out cartooning for magazines in 1954. He was an artist for the comic magazine Samir, for which he created his best known series, 'Thnablet El Sibian' ('The Lazy Boys'). Three albums with these characters were published.

Hijazy was one of the artists working for the Egyptian Disney comic magazine Mickey, published by Dar Al-hilal, in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The comic book contained comics that were produced by local artists, including Hijazy who did a serial about Mickey Mouse fighting the villain The Red Cat in King Ramses' secret city, scripted by Majdy Najeeb. In addition, he has worked as a caricature artist dealing with political, economical and social matters, mostly published in Sabah Alkheir.
