Sally Forth by Greg Howard
'Sally Forth', drawn by Greg Howard (1982)

Greg Howard was born in 1944 in Ramsey County, the son of a physician, who worked at the University of Minnesota School. Howard himself graduated in law at the University of Minnesota in 1969, working as a lawyer before he turned to creating comics in 1978. He created the 'Sally Forth' daily comic in 1982, syndicated by Field, with the first episode being printed on 4 January 1982. This comic, about a working mother, must not be confused with Wallace Wood's comic of the same name. Howard drew the series until 1991, when Craig MacIntosh took over the artwork. Howard remained attached to the series as a writer until 1999, when Francesco Marciuliano took over.
