Voltige et Ratatouille, by Pascal Jousselin
'Voltige et Ratatouille'.

Pascal Jousselin is a Rennes-based comic author and illustrator of books for children, the press, guides, novels, advertisements and websites. He has created several albums for the publishing house Treize Étrange, starting with 'Fiesta' in 2000. That same year, he began the series 'Voltige et Ratatouille'. He works a lot with Brüno, who co-wrote the scripts of most of the 'Voltige' albums, and who co-created the albums 'Les Aventures de Michel Swing' and 'L'Ultime Pouvoir'. The 'Voltige' series is made by several artists, like Jicépol, Massonnet, Szalewa, Ryser, Steve Baker and Domas. The stories are multi-layered and can be enjoyed by both children and adults.

In 2013, Jousselin launched the superhero parody 'Imbattable', serialized in Spirou. The title character spoofs U.S.-style masked crusaders, but the gags feature delicious meta-fictional comedy. Jousselin makes witty use of lay-outs to let Imbattable do something in one panel that will have an effect on the actions in the panel below or above.
