Dilip Kadam has his own art unit at Pune called Trishul Comico Art. Together with his son Omkar he supervises a team of about 10 artists, doing illustrations for comics and also animation work. Kadam has worked as an artist for the Indian comic book collection 'Amar Chitra Katha', a series of stories from Indian mythology, history, folklore and culture. The series, initiated by writer and editor Anant Pai in 1967, also featured work by artists like Waeerkar, Souren Roy, Chandrakant D. Rane, Geoffrey Fowler and Pratap Mullick. Kadam illustrated among others the comic biography of 'Lokmanya Tilak', the folk tale 'Bikal the Terrible', the Jain tale 'Kesari the Flying Thief', and so on.
