Bojan Kovacevic was born in the province of Voïvodine, Serbia. He initially studied law, but soon made the switch comics. He debuted in 1989 with comics like 'Nikoletina B.', 'Frank Filter' and 'Archybad', created for local and international publishing houses and publications. He is a colorist for such series as 'Abraham Stone' (Joe Kubert), 'Cobra', 'Cat-Claw' (Bane Kerac) and 'Rubine' (Dragan De Lazare).
Between 2004 and 2007, he was the artist of 'Arcanes', a series he took over from Roland Pignault at Delcourt (texts by Jean-Pierre Pécau). He then teamed up with writer Daniel Pecqueur to create 'Arctica' for the same publisher. Signing with simply Boyan, he additionally took over the artwork of 'Rubine' from De Lazare for the run of episodes between 2004 and 2006. He drew the ninth installment in the 'Jour J' series by Jean-Pierre Pécau, Fred Blanchard and Fred Duval for Delcourt in 2011.
