'Monster Elementary' - 'The Egyptian Curse'.
Lee-Roy Lahey was born in Cincinnati, grew up in San Francisco (with classmate and friend Brahm Revel), and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. His first comic book was a self-published single issue in 1998. It was a graphic narrative adapted from the storyline of a short film by his brother John Valentine Lahey, titled 'Greg's Manifesto'. Within a year, the book had made its way into stores on four continents, in the United States, Australia, Japan, and mainland Europe, including its acceptance into the consignment section of Lambiek in Amsterdam.

Currently based in Los Angeles since 2002, Lee-Roy has illustrated stories for the comic book series 'Monster Elementary' by Nicholas Doan, which was successfully funded on Kickstarter, and was eventually published by Space Goat Publishing. It was the winner of the 2015 Gold Medal IPPY Award for Best Graphic Novel: Humor. The second book received the 2017 IPPY Award Bronze Medal in the same category. Lee-Roy also works as a storyboard artist in animated cartoons.
